TrueFlies™ Announces New Clothing Line
Boca Grande, FL (July 22, 2011) — TrueFlies LLC proudly announces the debut of its new clothing line, which premieres this August and will be presented at International Fly Tackle Dealer in New Orleans on August 18th.
The company’s offerings come in two distinct but complementary lines—Performance and Sportswear. With the Performance line, the goal was to design technical clothes that deliver all the function and mobility fly-fishers demand, but that would not be out of place in a nice restaurant after a day on the water.
“We like to say that, from the deck of the boat to a bar downtown, when you’re wearing our Performance gear, you’re always in your element,” says Mike Lintz, President and co-founder of TrueFlies.
TrueFlies’ Sportswear, on the other hand, is for those who are passionate about style and comfort.
“The emphasis here is on looking and feeling fantastic, pure and simple,” says Cole Fairbanks, TrueFlies Charter Captain and co-founder. “Our Sportswear will appeal to not only anglers, but boaters, golfers, and anyone who appreciates great design, sophisticated style, and fine craftsmanship.”
The company and the clothes were born of Lintz’s and Fairbanks’ shared passion—and
frustration. Having spent countless hours chasing Florida gamefish like tarpon, redfish, and snook around Boca Grande and Charlotte Harbor, the two often lamented the lack of functional but versatile fishing clothes. One idyllic afternoon, they decided to stop complaining and do something about it. In 2004, they formed TrueFlies LLC with an eye to making the kinds of clothes they—and presumably fellow-anglers and other outdoor enthusiasts—want to wear.
